Andy asks -  On the OS map a Tennis Ground and Bowling Green is shown; does anyone have any photos or information on these? In the sixties they were overgrown and unused except the bowling green was now our football pitch "the bowlo". You can also see the quarry.

On Talke's map from 1954 there is not a Tennis Ground and Bowing Green anymore - the quarry has extended behind where they were and The Imperial Works have appeared on the quarry site which was the home of the Talke O'th Hill Fireplace Company. Does anyone have any photos or info on the quarry or "Talke Fireplaces"?
